About this data

The U.S. Energy Information Administration surveys retail gasoline prices every Monday. These are monthly averages of the weekly price of regular gasoline (all formulations) for the Midwest (Petroleum Administration for Defense District 2, which includes Ohio) and for the U.S. EIA does not publish a Dayton or Ohio series, so this is a regional figure; local pump prices vary by station. A month appears once all its weeks are in.
