Kettering plans to remove traffic signals at two Shroyer Road intersections

Posted on November 3, 2026November 3, 2026 by Dayton Report

Written with the help of AI from a news release from the City of Kettering.

The City of Kettering is planning to remove the traffic signals at two intersections along Shroyer Road, according to a city web page answering questions about the corridor.

The signals are at Shroyer Road and Storms Road and at Shroyer Road and Schuyler Drive. The city said the signals are nearing the end of their useful life.

Kettering said it conducted a traffic signal warrant analysis of the two intersections. According to the city, the analysis found that neither location meets current criteria for traffic volume, delays, accident history and pedestrian crossing volumes that would justify keeping a signal.

The city described the removals as planned. The page did not say when the work would take place.

Residents with questions can contact the City of Kettering at (937) 296-2400, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
